THOR is one of the nation's largest minority owned General Contractors and has grown from humble beginnings as an 8A contractor to a ranked ENR top 400 national fi rm. While we are proud of our achievements, we have not forgotten our roots, and pride ouselves on a successful mentoring program for disadvantaged business. We strongly believe in giving a "hand up" and have demonstrated success nationally using our diversity management programs while delivering quality projects, on time and on budget.
MagicStar
Our MagicStar Workforce Development Program (WDP) will focus on synergistically leveraging the MagicSTAR system to assist with the placement of minority individuals and developing a stronger minority workforce. The Contractor Development platform will provide links to the forecasted Project Schedule, which establishes the type and timing of available jobs (THOR and subcontractors) on the project and enables the mobilization of the workforce development process. Local vocational training, universities and human capital development providers can access the MagicSTAR system to ensure the synchronization of training and job opportunities.
This program creates tractable reporting and opportunities for targeted workforce development partners to provide proactive corrective action for individual's workers. The desired outcomes are increased informational effi ciencies, workforce participation rates, labor force attachment rates and human capital acquisition; which ensures the success of new market entrants/re-entrants, building a minority stronger workforce, and positively impacting Indian country and its businesses.
In combination, these two development programs, leveraging our innovative technological platform, enable THOR to differentiate
itself from our competition. Many fi rms will promise outcomes regarding minority-owned businesses and individuals, but in reality
they do not possess the systems, programs or experience requisite to achieve optimal implementation and execution. We fully
understand the needs of disadvantaged communities and have invested our fi nancial and human capital resources to ensure that we
can deliver successful and measurable outcomes.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
THOR Construction is committed to promoting sustainable building practices in the industry. From recycling in the offi ce to constructing all levels of LEED® Certifi ed buildings, THOR is making an impact in reducing its carbon footprint in the World. The THOR Team includes many LEED accredited professionals and encourages others to become accredited. As a part of our dedication to sustainability we are open to suggestions on how THOR can further create a positive impact on our environment.
With the support of our highly motivated team, THOR has had the opportunity to work on one of the largest projects in the world, CityCenter in Las Vegas, Nevada. A project with the magnitude such as that of CityCenter, has such an enormous impact on the environment that MGM MIRAGE Corporation decided to LEED certify the ten plus billion dollar project.
